My TSH level was 2.07. I have read that when you are ttc that they want it to be lower than 2 and would really like for it to be 0.9. Does anyone have any information that they could share with me?
Thanks Ladies!

Tina, I have hypothyroidism. If you are even borderline, then I suggest you see an endocrinologist. I am reading a book now that says even borderline hypothyroidism can be treated in women with recurrent pregnancy lossand fertility problems.
Let me know if you have more questions!

Kris, What is the book about hypothyroidism? I had a b/o last pregnancy because of the hypo, and fear this pregnancy is showing the same result. Thanks, Kate

The book is called The Thyroid Solution. It's written by Prevention magazine, I would suggest you get a copy. It made me a much better advocate for myself, in regards to medication. I went from being on just Levoxyl to now Levoxyl and Cytomel and I am feeling fantastic.
Biggest HUGS hun!!

A TSH of 2 is acutally normal. Have you been diagnosed with hypothroidism and are you on meds for this? If not then I would not worry about that number at all. If you are being treated then you may want to discuss it with your endocrinologist as suggested, because at 2 you would only need a very small adjsutment to be below this. I'm not sure it would make a big difference in trying to conceive though. Most MC due to hypothyroidism are for those who are not treated yet.
