Hi, I am new to this group.
I am very fortunate and lucky to have a healthy 4 1/2 year old. Conceiving and carrying him was not even an issue. Of course I was 29 when I conceived him and I was 30 when I had him.
At 33, we decided to try for a second. On 10/1/08, my blood pregnancy test showed my hcg levels were only 53. Later at my first trimester screening (10 weeks), I was told that I did not have a viable fetus. In fact, I had no bleeding and received contradicting info. from my ob-gyn and specialist.
In June, I did become pregnant again. On 6/2/09, my blood pregnancy test hcg levels were 50. I started spotting on 6/5 and miscarried on 6/7 (5 weeks).
Well, after six months of ttc, I finally got a positive home pregnancy test on Fri 2/12. I am going tomorrow to my new ob-gyn for a pregnancy test. I am praying and hoping my hcg levels are in the normal to high range. I am sacred to admit that I am having a little cramping today, and I did have a little bloody discharge this afternoon. I am not overly concerned because with my son, I had a little bloody discharge also in the beginning.
Has anyone experienced this? I am so afraid, and I do not think I can go through another loss. I am turning 35 at the end of this month, and that is bothering me also.

I am sorry for your losses. There are many women on this site that have had more than one loss including me. I was full of the same questions you are. At one point I thought maybe I just wasn't destined to have a second child. Things can work out though. I just gave birth to my second child a month ago. My advice would be just try to enjoy each day you have your little bean and hopefully before you know it you will be seeing that beautiful little hb. We are here for you if you need to talk. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
