Hi, My name is Susan and I am 36. A week and a half ago my doctor told me I may have a BO. I had the blood tests and was supposed to find out last Thursday but he was called out on an emergency. So DH and I have to go again tomorrow to find out. I am 11 weeks today and have had no bleeding and no signs of MC. Everytime I see a baby or a pregnant lady I get so sad. I am praying for a miracle because nothing is going to prepare me for the worst. But no matter what I just want to know so we can move forward.

I am so sorry that you are going through this. I know what you mean about feeling sad seeing pregnant women. I know it's not their fault that this has happened to me, but it doesn't stop me from feeling mad about it. I hope you get some good news at your appointment tomorrow! Stacy

Hi Susan! Good luck today. I'm sorry that this is happening to you. I definitely understand how you feel. I have had 2 BOs - the first at 34, and the 2nd at 35. I found out yesterday I'm pregnant & am hoping for the best, but......You have found a wonderful site. The ladies here are full of great advice and are wonderful support. Any questions you have they seem to be able to answer them. I wish you the best today and please keep us updated!

Susan, I am sorry to hear that your going through all this uncertainty. I really struggled through the "waiting" aspect of it. You don't want to get your hopes up.....but you don't want to think the worst either! My heart goes out to you. I wish you the best with your test results but I did want to add that I was disagnosed BO at 13 + weeks and had never had any bleeding, cramping or any other signs of MC. Although I will say that I didn't "feel" pregnant eventhough I looked it! I'll be thinking of you!
Take Care!

Thank you for all of your support!! Katherine, I will keep you and your little one in my prayers. As I suspected the DR. told us for sure it is a BO. I go in Wed for the D&C. I have cried a little but think if I start to really let loose I won't ever be able to stop. My stepson is turning 8 next week and is so excited about being a big brother. We have no idea how we are going to tell him but decided to do it right away. I do have a question about how long it takes to start feeling better after the D&C? This weekend we have a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando planned to celebrate his birthday. It has been planned for months and I think we could all use the fun. It is not that far of a drive but I am wondering how much discomfort to expect. Thank you again for all of your support, thoughts and prayers. Mine are with you ladies as well.

Susan:
I am so sorry to read this. I can't answer about the D&C - both of my BOs expelled on their own. I wish you the best on Wednesday & hope you will feel well enough to go to Orlando! Thanks for your prayers!

Susan,
My heart goes out to you and to your family.
I had a D&E so I am not sure how much of a difference recovery is. With mine I had very minimal cramping and bleeding, then had AF about 35 days later.
(((((HUGS)))))
You are in my thougths and prayers. Micki

Susan, Sorry to hear that things didn't go well today! I didn't have a D & C so I can't help you with any info there. I do hope that you get to enjoy your trip though. Hang in there!
Take Care!

Hi Susan, I am sorry to hear that you have to go thru a D&C. I had a D&C last Aug. 14 and it went pretty well. I did not feel any pain and there was very minimal bleeding after. I am now just spotting on and off. My OB said that I should take it easy the first two weeks. But aside from that, I can go out and do "normal" stuff. One thing I noticed though is when I am extra active (like walking in the mall for 3 hours), my bleeding gets heavier than my usual spotting (but not so heavy like AF). I have decided to just stay in the house for now and really take it easy. Just get your doctor's approval first for your Universal Studios trip. If you do decide to push through, just make sure that you stay off your feet as much as you can. Here's hoping for a quick recovery for both of us. Lani

I am so sorry. I had a D&C last Wednesday and I was feeling ok by Saturday. I think I was a little more tired because it turned into an emergency D&C after losing a lot of blood due to retained placenta. The only thing that is still sore is my back from the spinal anesthesia I had to have. Otherwise, I have just had spotting and mild cramps from time to time. Although the bleeding and cramps do get worse when I am more active. Good luck with everything. Stacy

Hi there,
I am so sorry for your loss. :0(
If you have any questions at all, just ask. Let yourself cry if you need to. It really does help.
As for your trip, I guess it would depend on how you are feeling Saturday. I had two D&Es and I felt great just three days later. But my surgeries were minimally invasive and I really didn't bleed much.
Big HUGS you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Kris

DH & I told Robbie, my stepson, about the baby last night. At first I thought he was going to cry but ended up not. We were really trying to be stong for him and he must have sensed that and decided to change the subject to Game Cube. Aren't kids great? Thanks to all for the info on the D&C. We are staying at a hotel on Universal property so if all else fails I can just hop on the ferry and go back to the room. I also have the rest of the week off to recover and have a good long cry. I think DH and I are both trying so hard to be strong for the other neither of us has really let it out yet. Maybe after tomorrow?

Susan
I am so sorry that you needed to find us. This is a great bunch of women that have large hearts. The group has really been getting a lot of members and everyone seems to immediately start supporting one another.
W/ my bo lat year that was what made the biggest difference all the women helping to get me info and making me feel as I wasn't the only one going through my pain.
Whatever you need we are here. To listen to you and answer your questions.
Take care
