Hello Everyone. I'm new to this site. I've had 2 BOs and now am ready to try to get pregnant for the 3rd time. After my 2nd BO I had the workup done. I'm 35 (almost 36) so the doctors agreed it should be done due to my age. I had the HSG, FSH, lots of other blood work, and both my husband and myself had the chromosome analysis done. Any other suggestions? My doctor tells me "everything's fine - try again". Easy for her to say. I don't have a problem getting pregnant, so that's a good thing. Of course I'm worried that this one will turn out the same as the first 2. Why should it be any different? Any words of wisdom/experiences/advice are greatly appreciated.

I am sorry for your losses. There are several women here that have had at least 1 loss. And they have gone on to have children.
There are also others that have had different tresting and will share that too. I had a b/o and am recently pg. It has been a long stressful journey, but more than worth it in the end.
Good luck. As you start ttc there is an area for ttc & pregnancy. There is a lot of very informative women on this board.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I have been reading a lot of the posts. They are full of useful information. I have a little more hope after reading them.
Have a great day!

I'm so sorry you've had to endure two losses I'm about the same age as you, I was 35 when I had my last child, my loss happened at 32. I had one loss and went on to have two children. I know there are others here with multiple losses who are pregnant now and everything is going well. I also didn't have any problems getting pregnant, which everyone kept saying was a concern because of my age but I proved them all wrong ;-) . We actually started trying a little earlier than planned with my second because everyone kept quoting studies to me, first shot out the gate and there she was! {{{{hugs}}}} Keep us posted, I know it has to be scary but the tests sound like you have a really good chance at everything being ok. Hi there,
I am so very sorry for your losses! I have had two myself. The 2nd one was much more difficult for me, and I felt wounded by it for a long long time. Eventually I picked myself up about a year after and said OK I am going to try...but not without the ammo I need....so I went to an RE. I had all the tests you mentioned. I would suggest you go through your results and be sure that your Dr. included Natural Killer Cells, blood clotting genetic panels, and thyroid. Most higher level Dr.'s do, but it doesn't hurt to double check. I myself was found to have a blood clotting gene mutation (and low progesterone/thyroid), and another lady here has the NKC problem. I strongly suggest you are followed by an RE and have a specific plan of action in TTC. Mine is very long and specific to my needs but I will be glad to share what I had to go through if you like. Anyway big big HUGS I know how upsetting those words "well just try again" are. Easy for them to say!!
Big HUGS for you we are here to answer any and all questions.

Thanks for all the information. I expect we'll be pregnant within this next month. I sure hope so because my husband is in the Navy and is being deployed for about 6 months; so it's now or next year. Being that I'm almost 36, we don't want to wait any longer. I will check if those other tests were done as well. I don't recall her mentioning them to me though. I'm glad I found this site. My first BO was 12/03. It wasn't diagnosed until my second one which was 12/04. Both occurred at 9 weeks. Of all the sites I've gone to this is by far the best. I was sharing a lot of the information I read yesterday with DH last night. I actually have a little glimmer of hope maybe it will work this time. But, I'll be wary until after that 9 week mark. Thanks again!

Hello, Sorry to hear about your losses. I just wanted to wish you well on your TTC and I'll be praying for the best result. I understand your fear.....as I'm sure that everyone here does. I've had one BO and I'm still afraid of what could happen next time. All the best to you and I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Katherine,
I am very sorry that you have had to endure 2 heartbreaking losses. I had a BO for my first pregnancy. I am currently 10 weeks PG. I have been very scared and apprehensive to get too excited about the baby afraid that things could happen again. My DH is currently in Basrah, Iraq (he left last week for a minimum of a 4 month tour). I was almost paniked that we must get PG before he left. (because his previous tour was after our BO but before we could TTC). You and your husband are in my thoughts and in my prayers! Micki

Thanks Heather and Micki! Micki, I understand how you're feeling with DH being gone. Hopefully he'll be back in time for the birth of your baby. How is everything going with this pregnancy? Have you had an u/s yet? Keep me posted. You are in my thoughts & prayers!!

Katherine, Thank you. Things are going well, I am 10weeks 3 days and have had 3 U/S so far. We were able to see the baby moving its arms and legs at the last visit. Robbie should be home for the birth. (Hopefully will be home in late November BUT as you probably know, the dates to come home are always up to change) Thank you for putting me in your prayers, that means a lot to me. I am continuing to pray for you and your husband. Micki

That's great you were able to see the baby. How exciting. When did you have your first u/s? I'm curious because once I get pregnant, I want to have one as early as possible. My doc says 6 weeks - but just wondering what your thoughts are. Happy to hear you are doing well and moving along. I definitely know about the dates being up in the air about returns. It can be frustrating. I'm here if you need to vent! Have a great day! Katherine
