Hi, this is Michelle. I posted a little bit back in March when I went through my BO. I wanted to ask a question and I tried to post this on the pg after loss section but it said i didn't have permission even though I'm logged in. Anyway...I have an appointment to get my tubes tied on July 1st, but I am having a lot of pg symptoms (sore breasts - still nursing my 16 month old-, lots of nausea, fatigue, hormones out of whack, etc). What's weird is i was supposed to have this done in May and I had to postpone because I wouldn't have gotten paid for the day I had it done or Memorial day and I couldn't afford it. Now I don't know what's going on. I'm supposed to go for bloodwork next week (for my tubes being tied). can i ask them to do a pg test or will they do one anyway just to be sure. also i'm supposed to start on this sunday so should i wait and go later in the week like friday? Also, just wondering on dr. procedures with being pg after bo. will the dr want to see me more, etc? actually i was seeing a midwife with the bo so i would probably go back to her. i'm just curious ladies! Thanks for your help/input!

Michelle
AF is due Sunday? I guess I would suggest either waiting a few days or just going and getting a hpt that detects early pregnancy. Otherwise call where you are going to get the tubal done and ask them if they do a test 1st. If not then maybe call your dr and ask for one.
My brother was going to get a vasectomy and couldn't go because he couldn't get off of work. He went a month later and on the day that he went his wife found out they were expecting.
Take care

Wow--to both of you. I would definately try a hpt and ask that you be tested first before they move ahead, let us know how it turns out. I did get a negative on a hpt when I was pg with my daughter, so I would double check either way because if it's too early to check it may not show up.

Thanks guys! I think I will wait and see what happens Sunday and I'm going to call the nurse who's doing my bloofwork and tell her i want to come in Friday and ask if they will do a pg test standard or do I need to request one or what. I will keep you posted! ;o)

Michelle,
Well, I don't have any more advise than the other ladies have already given, but am very interested in hearing the results of your p/g test! good luck to you!

Can't wait to hear!!! It does sound like you could possibly be PG. I extended nursed my son also and never experienced that kind of hormonal stuff unless I was PG! ;0)
