Hello Ladies, A quick recap. I had a b/o m/c at 13wks pg and that was 4 weeks ago this past Sunday. A week ago I took a pg test and didn't look at it for a while and when I did it had 2 lines. One of them was very very light but it was there. We thought it was because I waited to look at it. On Thursday I started bleeding. I thought AF came. By Thursday night I had stopped bleeding. I called the OB on Friday and they told me that my first AF after a m/c would be heavy so that was not what it was and to test again on Monday and let them know what it said. I went to the Dollar General on Saturday and came home and tested and there was 2 lines. One was still very light but it was there. I got up Sunday and tested again and still the same 2 lines. Sunday night I started bleeding again. I got up this morning and the bleeding is almost stopped and I'm not sure about the test I dropped it in water before I got to read it and now it all messed up. I called the OB and they told me that the bleeding could of been for sex Friday night and that I should wait another week and then if the test is still pos that they will do a u/s to see how far along I am. On Friday they told me they would do blood work today and now I have to wait till next week to find out forsure. I'm going crazy I didnt sleep very well last night after the bleeding started. I don't know what to do. The lines are so light could I not be pg. The nurse said that the pos test has nothing to do with left over hcg from the m/c that it sound like I should be pg. I'm just worried about the light line. What do you ladies think, you have helped me before and if you all think I have nothing to worry about then I will feel better. Thanks again, Amy

Wow! Well...if it isn't leftover hormones and it is a new pg then you'd be pretty early and I don't think faint lines would be a worry. Mine were faint with all three pgs (2 successfull at the beginning). I was told it is normal, there's just less hormones at the beginning. I of course after the loss was freaky about it and kept testing, and they of course got darker I really, really wouldn't let the light line worry me. I'm sorry you are having a scare so early after the last one. What is the blood like (old blood, new blood) and how much of it? Maybe another one of the gals here has bled from having sex when pg? I've only spotted slightly after an exam or sex, very little. {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} Keep us posted!

Amy
When I took all 3 pg tests this time they were very faint lines. With the tests at the dollar tree they are not as sensitive so in a few days it probably should be darker.
I guess knowing me I'd be calling and asking for my hcg & progesterone to be tested. No dr just lab. Then maybe a recheck a few days later if they are saying that you are pg. That way you know your numbers are good.
Take care and keep us posted. (((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) Kallie

Amy,
I am not sure if you had a D&C or waited to mc after your b/o but if you had a d&c then it is very likely tht you are pg as they say that a d&c almost cleanses the inside (sorry for tmi) and that you are the most fertile after that.
Good Luck. Try and get some rest to eliviate the bleeding which I hope has stopped!! Perhpas have a blood test to check your hcg etc which will put your mind at ease re: your pg.
Good Luck

Amy,
Wow! You are having a rough time of it, aren't you? I'm so sorry. Hopefully you'll have an answer soon! You sound like me when I found out about my last pregnancy. Is it a line!? I SWEAR it is! I finally had to let go and just wait, just like your doctor said to do. Blood test next week, again in a couple days.... No U/S that time because I had a "chemical pregnancy" and M/C at week 5 1/2. It was very strange though, at first the line was VERY VERY faint, but then the bleeding started and as neurotic as I am continued to take P/G tests which were getting darker and darker. In fact, they stayed dark for 1-2 weeks after my M/C. I wouldn't have even known I were P/G if I had just waited a week after my normal cycle date. I was so hoping to be that I could not help myself. I do hope that your situation is not like mine was! Perhaps your bleeding is implantation bleeding. I would think the color should give you some idea, or the doctor should be able to help. Otherwise, there's not much you can do but TRY to be patient and wait until the doc is willing to give the blood test order. I hate that! The waiting part.... All you want is a straight answer as to what's going on with your body and even the professionals either can't seem to come up with an answer or it's not as important to them to get one Any Time Soon. Chin up! Relax, if you are P/G you need to RELAX! ((((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))))))) Stephanie

I had a blood test yesterday. I had to call the OB office 2 times to get any answers and still I don't know anything. The nurse said that anything over 5hcg is pregnant and that my test was only a 7 so it could be left over hcg from the m/c. They want to wait till next Monday to test again. I was stressed out all day today and now I can't stop crying how am I going to make it another week without knowing something. I starting some more today. How can I be pg and be bleeding and not have another m/c. I dont think I could handle another m/c without goping crazy. I'm so confussed what could be going on with my body? Amy

Amy,
You poor Darling! I can't believe that you have to wait. I think too often we leave ourseleves in the hands of so called experts who have no sense of urgency and I think that we need to push the point that we are very sensitive and traumatised at the moment and need somebody to sit up and take notice...after all we are the customer!

They just called back and I can have a test done tomorrow and I should have the results back by Friday afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed for me and send some baby dust my way. Thanks again for all the suport!! Amy

Thanks to everyone for all the support, I don't know what I would of done without all you wonderful ladies to help me throught this. I have been a wreck this week. I am trying to calm down and relax more. I have even made my dh a wreck this week. He hates to see me this way. I just have never had a problem with anyother pg or we never had a problem getting pg or I have always been able to tell that I am pg without all this mess. I'm going to try and relax some today and take a nap with my toddler and enjoy my others daughters soccer game tonight and I will have the test tomorrow and hope for the best. Thanks again Amy

Amy,
So sorry, Sweety! ((((((((((HUG)))))))))) I'm sure this is like a major clap in the face and given your recent experience it can't help matters a bit. I wished there were something I could say to make it better, but I know there's not... just that I understand and the ladies here do too. Anything you need, anything you need to get off your shoulders.... Hit me with it!
I've decided, partly after your reply on the after 11 week M/C experience, to go ahead and wait it out. I would have been 12 weeks on Monday, and had an appt with the dr to discuss my options further (that would have been the 3rd "consultation appointment") but decided to call and cancel that appt. If I need to go to the hospital as a result, I will, but for now, I am sick to death of these appointments and the worry. What is meant to be will be.
Again, I am so sorry about your results. Chin up, though! It will happen! I have faith that it will!
Steph

Dear Amy, I am sorry that you did not get the positive results you wanted, but maybe your body just needs a little more time to heal. I am sure it will happen for you again soon. Good luck, Lauren

Hello Ladies,
I just want to say thank you to all of you for the great support. I dont know what I would do with out you all.
I am more calm today. I feel better. I have been trying not to think about it much today. My oldest daughter had her last soccer game today and the kicked butt. My daughter scored 8 goals by herself and they ended up winning 22-0. I felt bad for the other team.
I do have a question for you ladies. On Tuesday evening I started bleeding heavy for about 1hr with some clots then it slowed down like a normal period would. My OB said that my AF would be really heavy the first time after the m/c. By some chance am I having my AF? What do you ladies think? Have any of you had a not so heavy AF after a m/c?
Thanks again for all the support. Amy

Amy
I am guessing that yes this is your af and my 1st one after the m/c was a little heavier and lasted a day or so longer than usual.
It is so hard to move on when you keep hitting bumps in the road.
Take care

Hi Amy, My first AF after my bo was very weird. It stopped and started, was heavy then light, then stopped and then came back. I think that s why it is important to wait until after your first period to start to ttc. I know how hard it is to wait when you want to get pregnant so badly, but I think that the little break between my bo and getting pregnnant again helped me in the long run.
Good luck. Lauren
