Haven't seen any new posts in a while. It seems people are conflicted about which site to write in to. I really liked this site as a place where many people were going through similar struggles. While I am happy for all the people on the old site who are now pregnant, or have even had babies, at this point in my journey I need support from people who are still struggling with trying to get pregnant and have a successful pregnancy. I have recently been diagnosed with Natural Killer Cells, and it is a struggle to keep positive and not let the anxiety consume me. It is so helpful to me to hear other people's advice, experiences, and humor about what we are all going through.
Anyway, I just wanted to let people know that I am interested in continuing here, and I hope others are too. Good night! Lauren

I am hoping people will start to like this...the other two places started off super slow though. I'm hoping that is all that this is. For instance, health.groups.yahoo.com/group/blightedovumsupport/November 2002, 4 posts December 2002, 52 posts January 2003, 171 posts The quicktopic started out slow also. www.quicktopic.com/17/H/rmWQ58gFDpNm/p9.2I was cross posting trying to get it going. I hope most people start to like this format...but I know that it isn't looking so great right now. If it's totally hated, I hope people will post and say why and maybe it's something that can be fixed. Eventually I think new people will start to come in from the website but I hate to lose those who were active in the other places. If someone isn't comfortable posting in a thread about this you are welcome to message me.

Hi Lindy,
Thanks for writing back. I am sure that people will start writing at this site, or new people will join. In the meantime, I will continue to log in.
Thanks for your support about the Killer Cells. It sounds worse than it is. You have to get an iv for a few days at the beginning of each month because your body thinks a fetus is something bad and is attacking it. Supposedly they are having alot of luck witht the treatment, so I am optimistic! Thanks for the hug! Lauren

Lindy,
Again, thanks for setting this up. Your site & the yahoo group helped when I suffered from b/o. I really appreciate that - losing a baby is something you'll never forget.
I hope people will find this site as well; but I've tried to tell you this & I wasn't very clear - I think new people will have great difficulties to find either site right now.
I found your article & the link to yahoo site in Jan/05 - before the board change. I did a google search & your website (article) was the 2nd on the list - now your article is gone from the search; and of course there's no links to the yahoo group or here. So, if people didn't get to visit thess 2 sites before the change, it's pretty hard for them to be here. I remember see new peope posted at yahoo site in Jan; but not now. I don't know how you can fix this... but the connections to the search engine is the key to open this room up for more people & posts, right?
Another observation - it seems to be more limited for what we'll and can say when it's under topics; even though I like topics to help it be organized - I guess it's probablly just a give & take situation.

Without paying for search engine links, which I can't afford to do, I can't really do anything about rankings. It takes awhile to be picked up on search engines after any changes are done. The website address was changed about a month ago, which is probably part of the current problem you report. I did just search for "blighted ovum" www.google.com/search?sourceid=mozclient&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q=blighted+ovum and this forum board is on the first page: Blighted Ovum Support - Home ... with a Blighted Ovum (also referred to as an anembryonic pregnancy). ... Loss website for further information on the diagnosis of a "Blighted Ovum". ... blightedovum.proboards46.com/ - 16k - Cached - Similar pagesThe yahoo group was listed, but is on the fourth page, so this one is actually fairing better. I couldn't find my website at all, and quit on page 7 of that search--which is definately bad. The problem in that is the switch, and google hasn't caught up. The bright side is that the url of the new page includes "blighted ovum" which should give me a boose. I had changed www.geocities.com/tweety1137/ to point to blightedovum.kokopuff.net , same with the blighted ovum page. On the bright side, however, the links have been corrected in dmoz: dmoz.org/Home/Family/Pregnancy/Loss/Support_Groups/Online_Support/dmoz.org/Home/Family/Pregnancy/Loss/Blighted_Ovum/and both urls have been submitted again to Google. Google uses dmoz data, so hopefully it will be updated there and that might get the word out. It will take some time for things to catch up. I think that the url change is part of it, along with reluctance for the new format. I've thought about saying I'd change it back on my website to the yahoo format, but I don't want to do that. I know a lot of people lurk and don't post, and the yahoo format is extremely restricting. What is posted isn't likely to help anyone beyond the moment. It works good for those getting email (actually better probably if someone is using that format) but if people are checking online archives the others are unmanagable. Eventually search engines will pick up topics from here, specific posts that have those key words in them. In the long run I think this will help people. I am sorry this hasn't caught on so far and am hoping once new people start to dribble in things might get better.

Hi all,
I too found the other site by Googling "Blighted Ovum", so I know it is important to be on those search engines, but it is hard to be at teh top of the list. I hope more people will join this site. It is really helping me to have others to talk to who can relate to what I am feeling.
Tomorrow I have my 2nd test for Natural Killer Cells.... hopefully I will be able to start the IVIg therapy next month and get back to ttc. I feel like it was probably good for me to have a few months off to get over the loss of my last pregnancy (which I am not yet, but I am trying to move past it).
Good night!
